April, you have been cold, dark, snowy, and rainy. You have brought long grueling days of schoolwork, irregular and unusual sleep schedules, with many laughs.
The end of April marks the end of a long winter term, and the beginning of new life sprouting all around us. From dandelions starting to bud to tucking away that heavy winter coat, we are all preparing for summer in different ways. For some of us, April signifies the end of a degree, one that was as challenging as it was fascinating. For others, it denotes the passing of time, as another school year rolls by.
This year the Symmetry team has written and published 15 articles with topics ranging from the power of sound bites to the complexities of compassion and empathy in transformational PR leadership. Our readers have gained insider knowledge on our teams’ unique experiences, and tips and tricks during their time in the BPR program, as well as the BA, Communication Studies program.
Dear Symmetry team, we hope you continue to learn and grow as professionals. We hope you never lose your curiosity or your quirks, which make you special. Thank you for being a part of Symmetry—we couldn’t have done it without you.
April, we are thankful for all you have done to get us through the semester, however, we are ready to move on to the next chapter.
So, readers and the Symmetry team, we have one last message:

Are you interested in joining Symmetry and improving your writing, editing, social media, and graphic design skills? We are looking for MSVU PR and communications students to join our 2023-2024 editorial team.
As a Symmetry editor, you will:
- write and edit submissions for Symmetry,
- recruit and support student writers,
- create graphics and promotional materials,
- learn how to use WordPress,
- and assist with social media management.
