Britt is a fourth-year Public Relations student at Mount Saint Vincent University with a diverse portfolio of experience. She has worked as a digital editor for a local sports betting company, planned weddings, contributed to a national architecture firm, and honed her skills in customer service. Originally from the Netherlands, Britt made the bold move to Canada in 2013 with her family and has embraced her passion for travel ever since. When she’s not planning her next adventure, you’ll find her journaling, reading, shopping, or convincing her friends to join her trips.

Madesen Allen is a second-year Public Relations student at Mount Saint Vincent University with a passion for communication and a love for writing. Born and raised in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, she’s deeply connected to her community. When she’s not in the classroom, you’ll find her running with the MSVU cross-country team, catching up with friends, or grabbing a coffee.

Sam Dempsey is a second-year Public Relations student at Mount Saint Vincent University, originally from Berwick in the Annapolis Valley. Passionate about storytelling, she strives to create inclusive spaces where every voice can be heard. With training in inclusive workplace behaviour and as a proud member of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, Sam brings a thoughtful and empathetic approach to her work. She has a deep love for creative writing and dreams of turning it into a career. When she’s not writing, you’ll find her playing video games or crafting in her spare time.

Keith Gallie is a fourth-year Hospitality Management student at Mount Saint Vincent University with a background in Digital Marketing. Keith has worked around campus on various advertisements, notably for the Business and Tourism Society and Business and Tourism Department. Keith has also made an effort to help his community by volunteering for various food banks, business events, and various campus events, offering his time and effort to support those in need. With a passion for pursuing digital marketing in the tourism industry and creating community connections, he is eager to apply his experience and enthusiasm to his work.

Lillian Lidberg is a first-year Communication student at Mount Saint Vincent University with a strong background in writing, editing, graphic design, and event planning. She has a keen eye for detail and a passion for blending creativity with meaningful connections. Lillian thrives on developing engaging content and bringing ideas to life through design. When she’s not designing or editing, you’ll likely find her reading or journaling.

Erika is a third year Public Relations and Marketing student at Mount Saint Vincent University. Originally from rural Manitoba Erika has been gaining a variety of new experiences both personally and professionally in her past years on the East Coast. She worked at a newspaper during her senior year of high school and is glad to be returning to working with a publication.

Simmi Singh is a Business student at Mount Saint Vincent University with a passion for creativity and innovation. When he’s not buried in textbooks, he’s running Ness Clothing, managing everything from social media to business operations. Always curious, he stays ahead of trends in fashion, tech, and beyond, turning fresh ideas into reality. As Symmetry’s staff manager and photographer/videographer, he’s ready to capture powerful stories through his lens. With a keen eye for innovation and a drive to take on new challenges, Simmi is always learning and creating.

Amelia MacDougall, originally from Cape Breton, is a fourth-year Bachelor of Public Relations student at Mount Saint Vincent University with a passion for storytelling and strategic communication. She has experience in the nonprofit, government, and private sectors, including a recent internship with a leading public affairs agency, where she thrived in fast-paced environments. Beyond her professional pursuits, Amelia is actively involved in her community. She serves as Co-Chair of the Halifax Metro Universities Relay for Life Committee and a Residence Assistant, where she enjoys creating meaningful experiences and supporting those around her. In her spare time, she stays active with the MSVU Mystics cross-country team and loves being outdoors. Whether planning an event, working on a campaign, or going for a run, she’s always looking for new ways to learn, connect, and grow.

Yanfei Lan spent a decade as a journalist, editor, and commentator for leading media outlets in China and served as a columnist for a prominent media organization in Hong Kong. After transitioning from journalism, she joined the marketing department of a publicly listed company, focusing on new media marketing and public relations. Now based in Halifax, she aims to share her unique perspective, helping Chinese newcomers explore and appreciate Canada from a fresh viewpoint.
