Volume 4, Issue 1

Welcome back fellow MSVU students!  It’s been a while and we are very sorry for the delay in starting, but looking this good can take some time (of course I’m talking about our MAJOR website upgrade).

With a new look, comes a new team of young, talented professionals. This year, Symmetry’s Editor-in Chief will be ran by me, Jacqueline Dunston. I am so lucky to be back for my second year of Symmetry. I am even luckier to have a team of FIVE other talented girls to help me run this show. I am happy to introduce Symmetry’s brand new team, Holly Crawford, Nicole Janes, Chelsea Tucker, Allison Davis and Sarah Greening.  These ladies will be helping me edit anything you submit to Symmetry’s email. To learn a little bit more about our editors, check out their bios on our Meet the Team page.

To those of you who are new to MSVU, you might be thinking what is Symmetry and how will writing for Symmetry benefit me? The answer to that question is simple; Symmetry offers you the opportunity to publish your writing on a credible and established public forum. Something that looks awesome on your resume when it comes time to apply for co-op jobs. Many organizations often look for writing samples attached to your resume, so why not make Symmetry one of them?

So, if you’re thinking of writing to us and you need some inspiration to get you started, consider reflecting on your learning experiences from events, volunteering, or co-op terms, or check out other blogs online. We are always happy to help you re-create your own version on a topic.

Remember, all ideas are welcome because here at Symmetry, it is your space to create, communicate and collaborate.

I can already tell this is going to be a great year!
